We are seeking a Business Development Manager to source, develop, and execute on partnerships that drive value for Qualia clients and grow the Qualia ecosystem. This position will be an initial member of the Qualia Business Development team, reporting to the Director of Business Development in San Francisco and working closely with various teams throughout the company.

Your day to day

  • Source, structure, negotiate, execute, and implement strategic deals involving a variety of Qualia products and services
  • Evaluate strategic partnership opportunities, performing a broad range of quantitative and qualitative analyses
  • Work with both internal and external product, sales, operations, and marketing teams to drive to successful partnership outcomes
  • Develop deep relationships with key partners that fit into our business plan and strategy
  • Understand business model implications and communicate in a results-oriented and financially-grounded way

Your background that likely makes you a match

  • Minimum 2 years of experience negotiating and closing partnerships in business development and/or consulting
  • Minimum 4 years of internal stakeholder management with demonstrated excellence working with company leadership, legal, product management and marketing
  • Proven record of creating and executing on partnerships and negotiating deals
  • Resourcefulness and initiative to create new partnership ideas and produce results in an evolving company
  • Ability to evaluate different options and determine "unknown unknowns" to make decisions in a complex environment
  • Thorough understanding of a variety of business models
  • An extremely proactive, self-starter mentality with excellent organizational skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to identify and provide comprehensive solutions for varying partner needs
  • Ability to thrive in an unstructured, fast-paced environment
  • Bonus points for any of the following: experience in a high-growth technology company, 2+ years of experience at an investment bank or management consulting company, or MBA
